H.E. Fahmi Bin Ali Al Jowder
Fahmi Bin Ali Al Jowder is the Minister of Works, Minister in Charge of Electricity & Water Authority. Mr. Al Jowder has Over 20 year experience in all aspects of the profession and more particularly in management, planning, design and supervision of wide range of projects.
He received a Master of Engineering Management in Construction & Facilities from George Washington University. Awarded by H.M. The King of Bahrain; The Order First Degree on the successful completion of the Bahrain International Circuit

 

Mazen l. Snobar

Mazen I. Snobar was appointed as Executive Director, Community Services in April 2006, andprior to this he was named President and CEO of Houston-based Aramco Services Company(ASC) in May 2003. Community Services is responsible for operating and maintainingSaudi Aramco’s residential communities and office facilities including 15 water andwastewater treatment plants. Mazen graduated from King Fahd University of Petroleum andMinerals (KFUPM) with a B.Sc. in applied Civil Engineering.

 

Dr. Abdulmajeed Alawadhi

Dr. Alawadhi is the Chief Executive of Electricity & Water Authority in Bahrain since January,2008. Dr. Alawadhi obtained a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Degree in 1973 from CairoUniversity and Master’s Degree in Specialization of Desalination from Glaxco University, UK.He obtained his Ph.D in Corrosion Engineering and Protection in 1999 from ManchesterUniversity, UK. He is a Member of the Board for several international and local organizations.

 

 

Rebecca West

 

Rebecca West is the 2008-2009 President of the Water Environment Federation (WEF), the 35,000 member international organization of water quality professionals headquartered in Alexandria, Va. She is a recipient of WEF’s prestigious Arthur Sidney Bedell Award. Rebecca is a certified biological wastewater operator and biosolids and residuals operator in the state of South Carolina. She received a B.S. in biology from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

 

Leon Awerbuch

 

Leon Awerbuch is a past president and is currently the Director of the International Desalination Association. Leon holds 28 patents, has published over 90 technical papers and has chaired over 40 international conferences. He is serving on numerous Boards related toWater Reuse and Desalination. He holds a Master Degree in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry and has graduate studies towards a Ph. D. at Warsaw Technical University in New York.

 

M.H. Al-Abdullatif

Mohammed Al-Abdullatif is the President of the Saudi Arabian Water Environment Association (SAWEA); a non-profit professional organization dediated to preserving and enhancingwater quality. Mohammed has over 20 years of experience in the operation of water andwastewater systems. Currently, he is the Water & Wastewater Technical Advisor in the SaudiAramco Utilities Department.
