Dear Water Quality Professionals

I welcome your participation in SAWEA’s annual Workshop.  The theme that was selected for this year’s Workshop, “Innovative Water and Wastewater Network Systems”, was selected because of the large number of water and wastewater infrastructure projects that are currently being installed in the Kingdom.  It is my hope that this Workshop will provide new ideas to help those involved in the development of the Kingdom’s water and wastewater infrastructure to design and construct advanced networks that will incorporate water metering and leak detection systems for water conservation and to provide for existing network rehabilitation so that the Kingdom’s precious groundwater is protected for future generations. 

I would strongly encourage all of you to use this opportunity to learn these new innovative technologies so that they can be used to improve network systems in the Kingdom.  Additionally, I would ask that you take this opportunity to network with the other water quality professionals that are participating in this event – some of the top professionals and senior government officials in the field of water and wastewater network systems. By working together we can create an environment for our children that will provide them with the water resources and services that they will ultimately need for their families.
